NRA BASIC PISTOL

In this 8-hour course you will learn proper handling, firearm safety, range procedures, ammunition, and shooting fundamentals of revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. The course includes range time, firearms, and ammunition, but if you want to bring your own firearm, you are welcome to do so. This course is designed to teach the first-time pistol shooter the proper way to handle and shoot a handgun and is accepted by Illinois as 8 of the required 16 hours of training for an Illinois Concealed Carry License. Since you are under instruction, Illinois residents are not required to have a FOID card to take this class.
